Shania Twain: Rare Photos & Untold Crazy Life Story

Shania Twain, born Eilleen Regina Edwards on August 28, 1965, in Ontario, Canada, rose to fame with the bestselling album by a woman in the 90s but then vanished for 15 years. Her early life was marked by extreme poverty and an abusive stepfather. Forced to perform in bars at a young age to support her family, she faced hunger, shame, and abuse.

In 1993, Shania released her first album and married Robert John Lange. Her career soared, but in 2003, she contracted Lyme disease, damaging her vocal cords and threatening her singing career. Around the same time, she discovered Lange’s affair with her best friend, Marie-Anne.

Despite these challenges, Shania found love again with Marie-Anne’s ex-husband, Frédéric Thiébaud. After years of vocal therapy and personal healing, Shania made a triumphant return with new albums in 2017 and 2023, embracing her body confidence with a nude photoshoot for “Queen of Me.”
